About Jen

With a background rooted in the ancient healing sister sciences of Ayurveda and yoga, traditional fitness modalities, and plant-based cooking, Jen has twenty years of experience motivating clients, educating students and professionals, and demonstrating an optimal cruelty-free lifestyle.

JEN STERLING is a long-time vegan, wellness warrior, athlete, animal advocate, and spiritual seeker. She has helped hundreds of individuals achieve better health, a balanced lifestyle, and more promising longevity through her work in the private sector, corporate fitness centers, and higher education institutions. Her degrees and certifications include a B.A. in Psychology from Texas A&M, a certificate in Ayurvedic Studies from the Ayurvedic Institute, a professional plant-based chef certificate from Rouxbe Cooking School under Chefs Chad Sarno and Eric Wyncoop, personal training certifications through NSCA and NASM, a yoga teacher certification through High Desert Yoga, and a J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law with license to practice law in California and New Mexico. In 2017-2018, she competed—100% plant-based and drug-free—as a top-placing professional figure athlete within the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation. Additionally, she has received a traditional education in Ayurveda, Sanskrit, Advaita Vedanta, meditation, and yoga in both the U.S. and India.

Jen enjoys working with clients to identify underlying values and goals, meal prep for success, adopt a reasonable fitness mindset, implement health and nutrition tools, and provide accountability. Jen is skilled at keeping one foot in the fast-paced Western world and the other in the mindful ancient East; she believes that the diet and lifestyle can be tailored to the individual, so blends her knowledge and experience to create a system of wellness that is unique to each individual. She places emphasis on long-term adherence, disease prevention, optimal health, and longevity, as well as fully enjoying the body-mind experience in this time and space.

Jen lives in sunny Southern California with her three kitty loves: Lila, King Francis, and Ravi. When she’s not assisting individuals in their pursuit of better health, she enjoys hiking, trying new recipes, snapping photos, reading memoir, and exercising her writing chops through daily practice and regular workshops.
